Want to advocate for the park and our community?

We are currently asking residents to contact officials regarding Hilltop Extension, Old Summit Cemetery, and ESNP protections.

Why: While the industrialization proposal is no longer on the table, questions remain around whether the Hilltop Road Extension is feasible without disturbing Old Summit Cemetery and/or cutting through some park land acreage (and thus requiring the removal of deed restrictions, officially known as “conversion” via an application with the US Dept of Interior).

A $1.5 million engineering project has already been approved for the design of Hilltop. Let the Commissioners and the Mayor’s Office know that this road must NOT disturb the cemetery or the park.

Learn more about Old Summit Cemetery and join the current effort to protect it.
