Support Save Enterprise South Nature Park
Enterprise South Nature Park is one of Chattanooga and Hamilton County’s most cherished public natural spaces. It’s a place where families hike, bike, and explore forests that provide quiet, clean air, wildlife habitat, and accessible outdoor recreation right in our backyard. But now, a plan by the county mayor’s office to lift permanent federal deed protections and open more than 500 acres of this park to industrial development puts that legacy at risk.
This isn’t just another land-use debate, it’s about protecting our community’s vision for the future. Removing protections on land that has been safeguarded forever not only threatens trails, trees, and wildlife, it sets a dangerous precedent for all protected public lands in Hamilton County.
That’s why we started the petition and formed Save Enterprise South Nature Park, an entirely volunteer-run, community organization, the day after this proposal surfaced in late October 2025. In less than 3 months we’re already over 12,000 voices strong because we love this park and believe that conservation and responsible development can coexist.
Your gift will help:
Amplify local voices opposing rezoning and industrial encroachment.
Educate more residents about what’s at stake for our park, our health, and our quality of life.
Support community outreach, events, programming, materials, and tools needed to protect this land.
Hire experts to explore scientific, cultural and legal avenues of keeping the park’s protections intact.
A thriving nature park isn’t just a landscape, it’s a community asset that brings people together, supports public health, creates economic development for the area, and preserves nature for future generations.
