Mission: To keep our park protected, to learn about local nature, and to build community.
Where: Enterprise South Nature Park - Storybook Trailhead in the Visitor's Center Parking Lot. If we are meeting somewhere different, we’ll let you know!
When: Third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 A.M.
Who: This is a multi-age/grade level club, but we suggest it for 7 years old and under (so older kids don’t get bored).
Do I have to sign up? Nope! We are a casual group, and similar to forest schools, the kids are encouraged to experience learner-led exploration. We facilitate a nature-based play and learning environment. Depending on group size, we may take a nature walk, do a nature craft, play a game, and/or have a bubble dance party.
What should I wear/bring? We suggest clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, bug spray, and sunscreen. And the obligatory water bottle! We do have Rosy Male Moth t-shirts for a small donation. But that’s completely optional. Let us know if you’d like one.
Who is leading this group? Elspeth and Melissa, co-founders of Save ESNP, an organization that works to keep Enterprise South Nature Park protected and in public hands. Read all about us HERE
We will have waivers on hand and ask that you sign at the start of each club. We also take pictures for social media and promotional purposes. We understand that some parents may not want their kids photographed, and we totally get it! If that’s the case, please let us know and we will try our best not to show their faces in photos. As a gentle reminder, we are a volunteer led organization and do this because we want kids to get out in nature and play. We ask that everyone who comes to our events be respectful and kind to other participants, facilitators, and any guests who may have appearances.
